The festival season is drawing closer, and the line-up for Into The Great Wide Open is taking shape. We are adding a new batch of 22 artists to our bill. And it is a colourful one.
The Portuguese MARO closes a season full of highlights on Vlieland, where she waves goodbye to summer with her melancholic folk-pop. Friko also plays straight from the heart, but with raw guitars and a passionate vibrato that cuts straight through your soul.
From the musical pressure cooker of London, we welcome the Americana rockers of Little Grandad, the most exciting new exponent from the notorious Windmill scene. Closer to home, we have another eye-catcher: HATIHATI, the new gem on Soulwax's DEEWEE label.
And further: Muskila & Simona Abdallah smuggle traditional Arabic music into the club. Rewire discovery Suzan Peeters paints entirely new musical landscapes with her accordion, and Elmer declares the kids' mosh pit open with her new project BOLLOX. In short: plenty to discover. See you on Vlieland.
All new names, from A to Z:
Bel Cobain - BOLLOX (live) - Fauna - Friko - FuckFuckFuck - HATIHATI
The Hobknobs - jev. - Kevin Lo b2b Pelanoir - Leo Middea - Little Grandad
Lyrae b2b Malou - MALLAURY - Malou - MARO - Momoko Gill - Muskila & Simona Abdallah - Slate - St. Paul - Susobrino - Suzan Peeters - Wazo Bean
The full line-up and play list can be found below. The Beths unfortunately had to cancel due to circumstances. The artwork was once again created by our highly praised designer-in-residence: Studio SIVK.
