What personal data does Into The Great Wide Open collect and how is this processed?

Tickets
When purchasing festival tickets, personal data is requested such as name, address, email, date of birth, and place of residence. Into The Great Wide Open uses the obtained data to gain insight into the target audience of the event and for internal administration, not to identify individual visitors. Additionally, ticket buyers receive a service email containing all important information related to the festival, followed by a survey afterwards.

Surf data may be collected by Into The Great Wide Open to analyze and optimize the visit and use of the website. This data is made anonymous wherever possible. No cookies are installed on the Into The Great Wide Open website; however, Google Analytics is used to gain insights into the user-friendliness of the website. Into The Great Wide Open regularly sends newsletters to subscribers who have signed up on the website or registered at the purchase of a festival ticket. Volunteer Administration
If volunteers sign up with Into The Great Wide Open, they are asked for detailed personal data that is essential for the organization of the event. This includes work experience, contact details, allergies, and age. Volunteers actively sign up for a mailing list from which they are asked twice a year whether they wish to re-register. Volunteers can unsubscribe from this mailing at any time. Detailed data from volunteers is used for a maximum of one year and is then requested anew by the organization. Into The Great Wide Open reserves the right to maintain a record of volunteers who have worked for the event in the past. Only the name, surname, email address, and the year in which the volunteer was employed will be stored.

Lighthouse Keepers Administration
If Lighthouse Keepers sign up with Into The Great Wide Open as donors, we ask for detailed personal data that is necessary for internal administration. Lighthouse Keepers can sign up annually or for a period of five years; at each new term, they will be asked if they wish to receive new information, and old data will be deleted.

Audio and Video Recordings During the Event
For the promotion of the event, Into The Great Wide Open may make recordings of visitors, volunteers, artists, and staff. These recordings may be shared through various media channels, without Into The Great Wide Open or media partners owing any compensation to the visitors, volunteers, artists, or staff.

Retention Period
Into The Great Wide Open does not retain personal data longer than necessary for the execution of agreements and in any case no longer than two years, unless this is necessary for compliance with a statutory retention obligation.
