Even after all these years, every set is an endless moment of surprise
Anyone who has been birdwatching during the day can have a blast with St. Paul in the evening. Except for Kroon's Polders, nowhere else on Vlieland do so many species fly overhead as when the Utrecht-based rara avis and honorary islander lands on 't Sportveld. Yes, the migratory bird usually nests on the dance floor, but wasn't it St. Paul who had us swaying to Lana Del Rey last summer? How he manages to harmoniously bring together melancholic folk and free jazz, nederpop and desert blues, indie darlings and international superstars in one single habitat is still a mystery to us after all these editions.
