Forest Grid

The forest on Vlieland is not natural, but neatly planted, with a fixed regularity of vertical lines. Horizontal lines provide contrast in this regularity. By connecting the trees at the same height using laser beams and mirrors, the geometric pattern of triangles becomes visible, from which the forest is constructed. The lines form a floating grid, like a carpet above your head, and moving with the wind and reflecting in the mirrors reveals an amplification of the wind strength.
