There is a strange kind of euphoria attached to the view from a viaduct. All those countless cars passing under you. Overpass seems to thrive on such a feeling. The band from Birmingham makes solid indie rock, ingeniously constructed to resonate over the asphalt and be heard by millions. They employ tried-and-true techniques: favorite bands Interpol, Stereophonics, and The Strokes are quite literally ahead of their time. With a similar grit, cast in imposing concrete, anthems like 'Right Time' and 'Like No Other' made an impact: Overpass has already toured with Inhaler and Two Door Cinema Club. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for a debut album to seal the fate.
