The Itch
Prickly synth-pop sensation from London that you really should have been at afterwards.
Simon Tyrie and Georgia Hardy had almost thrown their instruments in the ring – until a performance during a Talking Heads tribute night (which also featured members of Shame, PVA, and Goat Girl) in their home city of London. Suddenly, it was back… the itch. The duo now primarily wants to play live as much as possible – simply because that’s the most fun there is, especially with such prickly, playful synthpop – and therefore they have only released two singles so far. The Itch relies on its live reputation, an irresistible nonchalance, and a double-nostalgic sound. 'Borrowed nostalgia for the unremembered eighties', as James Murphy would call it – from 2025 back to 2005 to 1985 and back again.
