That the brothers Ruben and Matthijs have modeled for Dior, Valentino, and Saint Laurent is not just a trivial fact, but a vital aspect of their performance, just as the New Romantics seamlessly connected music and fashion. Pol is not secretive about their main influences: during their very first club show, they covered Japan's 'Adolescent Sex' and 'Fade to Grey' by Visage - notably with Visage member Logan Sky on the keys. That same photogenic darkness dominates their original songs – playful streaming hit 'Boys Are' leading the way.
