Moe Satt
Nothing But Fingers - double screen video, 2023, 12 min
With this dance film, Moe Satt explores how a large number of animals can be depicted through hand gestures. The inspiration for the work comes from classical dance from Myanmar and the tradition of African hunting rituals from the Stone Age.
Moe Satt lives and works as a visual and performance artist in Yangon, Myanmar. Moe began creating art after graduating in 2005 from East Yangon University in Myanmar with a degree in zoology and is part of a new generation of emerging Burmese artists. He is currently studying at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam.
