MACHINE.
Slightly sadistic industrialists pump your veins full of pitch-black beats
It is not just the name of the debut album: MAQUINA. definitely makes DIRTY TRACKS FOR CLUBBING. D.A.F. would call it 'Körpermusik' and Front 242 'electronic body music'. The Portuguese word will surely be too sweet. Anyway, the trio from Lisbon pulls at your insides with its pitch-black kraut noise. While on the most recent album, PRATA, it sometimes almost leans towards techno, MAQUINA. live swears by nothing but guitar, bass, and drums. No synthesizer to be seen – as if the pain is then more real. In our view, only the darkness of the Bolder can endure the mind-expanding noise. A layer of sweat on the floor, some blood, and, indeed, all your glands.
