Forest experience

From the late 1800s, electric streetlights were implemented in cities around the world. They allowed people to safely go outside at night, reduced crime, and improved the overall quality of life and work for urban residents. Hundreds of years later, we have become so dependent on artificial light in many ways that it is rare for us to experience complete darkness in nature. In a sense, the dark areas of our world have now become a 'free space'. Forest Experience invites the public to have a direct dialogue with darkness and nature once again.

About Kay Churcher and Stefano Zucchini
Kay Churcher and Stefano Zucchini both develop interactive media art within their studies in ArtScience. Together, they are creating an  immersive work for Into The Great Wide Open. Kay’s focus is on interactive light, location-specific installations, and engaging the audience in immersive experiences. Stefano, on the other hand, primarily focuses on the physicality of sound, the acoustic behavior of space, and sound art.
