Light shifting
25 steel light boxes in the forest explore the interaction between technology and nature. Each of the light boxes is a separate painting and forms an element of the larger light artwork. These horizontal elements create a sharp contrast with all the vertical lines of the dense forest in which it is placed. Together, the 25 elements form a formation like a flock of birds or a school of fish. The shape changes depending on the viewer's perspective. This also invites you to experience the work up close and realize that it is not one but 25 separate artworks.
Jop Vissers Vorstenbosch (1986) graduated in 2011 from the Utrecht School of the Arts. His first work was mainly traditional painting. He has a preference for the marginal phenomena of daily (urban) life and is constantly searching for new (presentation) forms of painting. His work has previously been exhibited in, among others, the Singer Laren museum, and in the Neude Library in Utrecht, you can admire a large permanent installation of his.
