Adventurous Hague psychonauts can share a lot in sixty minutes.
Of the countless psychedelic retro-rock bands that suddenly emerged about ten years ago, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard has been the band that has truly managed to keep the genre alive, especially because they have shown that psychedelic music can be anything these days. Heath is clearly familiar with the Gizzverse, but the Hague band primarily uses it as a springboard for its own crazy adventures. When Heath plays a song, it usually takes a while and a lot happens. Through the thundering wetlands and the 'Valley of the Sun' to 'Atalantis', we hear prog, jazz, Jerry Garcia, and Ennio Morricone along the way. Because Heath also knows how to traverse half a fantasy world in ten minutes and make it sound almost laidback.
