Solo concert for double bass and light
At the oldest and most beautiful stage in Vlieland, Gonçalo Almeida gives a solo performance on the double bass, making pronounced use of the acoustics of the church. He utilizes the full range of his double bass, combining acoustic play with subtle amplification. Emphasizing sound, repetition, texture, and space, he allows us to experience all possible tones of the double bass. An important part of the performance is a subdued light installation. The light responds directly to sound, creating a changing visual atmosphere that closely aligns with the music.
