A captivating essay about trompe-l’oeil, deception, privileges, temptations, and apparent freedoms. Behind the façade of public life lie the private life of the individual and hidden agendas. We develop new skills to test our happiness in the non-stop stream of images and information. The central question is: how to live in a post-privacy era?
About Donna Verheijden
Donna Verheijden (1989, Netherlands) lives and works as a visual artist in Amsterdam. She trained as a graphic designer at ArtEZ and obtained a master's degree from the Sandberg Institute. In her short films, she combines iconic, historical material from vintage Hollywood movies with found footage and her own film footage from daily life.
