Diana Scherer investigates in her work the relationship that humans have with their natural environment. In recent years, the artist has been particularly fascinated by the dynamics of underground root systems in plants. Her interest in these systems has led, after much research, to a technique that remains a secret to the outside world. With this technique, she has gained such control over the roots of plants that a truly textile-like material is formed underground.
