Daems Van Remoortere
Track Tracy
Two beams of light go back and forth and focus based on artificial intelligence on a type of person they want to place in the light. The spots controlled by the computer can recognize different types of people and determine which people are exposed and for how long. Passersby consciously or unconsciously participate in a choreography and thus become part of the artwork, which explores subjects like privacy, networking, social media, and being in the spotlight.

About Daems Van Remoortere
Daems Van Remoortere is an artist duo based in Antwerp and active since 2009. The founders are Lena Daems and Frederik van Remoortere. Daems Van Remoortere works in a multidisciplinary way and transcends the boundary between theater, cinema, and visual art. For all their creations, the duo seeks a suitable and relevant presentation place, both in public and private spaces.
This work has been produced in collaboration with De Studio vzw, Robovision, and has come about with the support of District Antwerp, Controllux, and Summit & Festival, Diederik Van Remoortere, and Domien Holthof.
