On Thursday you can visit the church for the live film and music performance Becoming Earth, and on Saturday for The Poet and the Devil. But beyond that, the church is also a place where you can go for contemplation and meditation; in short, to escape the hustle and bustle. You can also view the work of artist Aleida van Dijk there. In the autumn of 2025, Aleida spent a week on Vlieland during a short residency at Standplaats Vlieland to continue working on her series Overgave. Every day she went out into nature and drew outdoors. She stretched canvases in the wind, tied charcoal to branches, and let herself be guided by what the island gave her. It became a surrender to Vlieland itself: to the wind, the water, the forest, the peace. The exhibition showcasing the result can be visited for free during the church's opening hours. 

On Saturday evening, there is a Taizé service, a contemplative service characterized by short songs sung repeatedly in succession, short texts, and silences.
