Basht.
Grimy grunge hooks packed in Irish bravado
A wave of eager bands has been coming from Dublin in recent years. Among names like Fontaines D.C., KNEECAP, and Gurriers, Basht also comes convincingly to the table. The quartet mixes alternative rock with gritty grunge energy and a hint of Britpop, blasting their songs with bravado into the venue and always leaving a bit of an echo. With their debut EP Dirty White Lies, they sold out venues in Ireland and the United Kingdom on their own, and as support for Wunderhorse and DEADLETTER, they already proved they feel at home on larger stages. The new EP Bitter & Twisted takes that energy further up: angular, urgent, with hooks that cling to your memory.
