Arp Frique & The Perpetual Singers
The freak sounds extra chic now that the Rotterdam retrofuturist is performing with a real gospel choir.
Five types of love at all frequencies. Arp Frique wants you to feel his music deep in the recesses of your soul. What could be more effective than a gospel choir? Through connections, the Rotterdam multi-instrumentalist ended up with Brandon Delagraentiss and Rocq-E Harrell, who has sung with Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Together they are now exploring the edges of what gospel can be. Yes, The Perpetual Singers sing about Jesus, about the Holy Spirit, but the lyrics are just one part of the whole picture. Because alongside the P-singers stands a p-funk band that George Clinton would be proud of. It hopefully creates a universal language through which Arp Frique hopes to preach hope.
