Addict Ameba

Musical megalopolis where afrobeat can also be sung in Italian

TIME

19:30 - 20:30

LOCATION

The Sports Field

DATUM

Thu, August 28

Not only does the name Addict Ameba sound like a certain vibrant metropolis in the Horn of Africa. In the 'caosmosi' of the versatile collective, the unique sound of Mulatu Astatke's Ethio-jazz is woven with Latin rock, desert blues, and afrobeat. And all this from a quiet Milanese neighborhood, where the supergroup continuously attracts new members. It is boundlessly cosmopolitan and always different. It’s no surprise that Seun Kuti and The Meridian Brothers have already taken them on tour and members of The Comet is Coming and Sons of Kemet appear on the latest album.
