On Thursday afternoon, May 8, artists Sjoerd Willem Bosch and Sijas de Groot are organizing another edition of their walking research for the temporary artwork Lutinelijn about maritime heritage around the sunken gold ship the Lutine (1799). The work can be seen during Into The Great Wide Open 2025.
Lutinelijn will consist of a collection of objects along the historical navigation line between the former Lutine Head and the Lutine Cape. Along the Kampweg, this line not only marks the location of the Lutine but also crosses the festival grounds of Into The Great Wide Open.
The walking research is a way to engage islanders and holidaymakers in their artistic exploration, in which gathering stories and giving stories back are central themes.

The project offers artists the chance to immerse themselves in the unique environment of the Wadden Sea area, with Vlieland as an inspiring home base.
