The Beths

Purveyors of liberating indie rock - from a country full of purveyors

If it weren't for the almighty rugby, jangling - from The Bats to The Beths - would undoubtedly have been the national sport of New Zealand. So be it, The Beths are fortunately not bothered by being a little marginal. Somewhere in the margins of the mercator projection, experts in a dying field, perhaps nothing more than fodder for mosquitoes. Such nihilism sounds heavy on paper, but airy and uplifting in the hands of these four Aucklanders. The finely pointed melodies and vocal harmonies are like life elixirs: maybe there really is nothing more in life than this, but one sip of it and you remain steadfastly to continue.
