Monster Florence
Rap collective and rock band, timeless and super hip
Monster Florence has racked up millions of streams in recent years without much noteworthy media attention. Perhaps it has something to do with them being so hard to describe, that the mix of styles lend itself perfectly to an online world where genre doesn't mean much anyway. The Essex sextet raps, writes punchy guitar songs, and has some choruses that will blow you away. It sometimes feels reminiscent of the hyper-diverse 'boy band' Brockhampton, if Brockhampton had listened to more Fontaines D.C. and had the guts to ask the legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke for a feature. Monster Florence certainly doesn't lack boldness, as their live show will also prove.
