Model/Actriz
The greater the desire, the colder the racket of this techno/punk quartet
After a mercilessly noisy debut album, Model/Actriz has positioned itself as the Britney Spears of industrial rock since Pirouette (2025). This is no Circus, but cabaret: frontman Cole Haden crawls further and further out of his shell, 'living in America, while trapped in the body of an operatic diva'. You quickly find yourself in a dingy SM dungeon – thanks to the rhythmically tight lashings of the New York band. Yet songs like 'Cinderella', about the princess party the five-year-old Haden dreamed of so much, are fearless hits; proud, grand gestures, clad in tough leather.
