Il Mago Del Gelato

A tasteful medley of a hundred thousand styles, in the most Italian way possible

Il Mago Del Gelato named themselves after a bar (slash ice cream parlor, you’d think, although nothing can be found on Google Maps) in the hippest part of Milan, from where the four members observe street life and draw inspiration for their colorful musical miscuglio. Of the many flavors, funk and Moroder-style disco take center stage, but much more is happening: afrobeat, bossa nova, jazz, and, like previous ITGWO acts Bassolino and Addict Ameba, Il Mago Del Gelato has a soft spot for the soundtracks from Italian film history that are as sweet as they are crazy. With a good sense of drama and an even better eye for style, you can indeed picture yourself at that little terrace in no time.
