Il Mago Del Gelato

A tasteful medley of a hundred thousand styles, in the most Italian way possible

Il Mago Del Gelato named itself after a bar (slash ice cream parlor, you would think, although nothing can be found on Google Maps) in the trendiest part of Milan, from where the four members observe street life and draw inspiration for their multicolored musical miscuglio. Of the many flavors, funk and disco à la Moroder predominate, but there is so much more going on: afrobeat, bossa nova, jazz, and just like previous ITGWO acts Bassolino and Addict Ameba, Il Mago Del Gelato has a weakness for the soundtracks from Italian film history that are as sweet as they are silly. With a good sense of drama and an even better eye for style, you will indeed imagine yourself on that terrace.
