Learn to organize change with Deep Canvassing Netherlands
Democracy rarely disappears in one fell swoop - it usually dies away slowly under cynicism and learned helplessness. Resistance can just as easily start small, for example with a good conversation.
Look at Zohran Mamdani. If you think he became mayor of New York because of his social media campaign, you are wrong. Mamdani and his people engaged in conversations with New Yorkers to listen to their concerns and dispel prejudices. His campaign reached no fewer than four million front doors.
Deep Canvassing Netherlands also champions democracy. Just like Mamdani, they knock on citizens' doors, because a fifteen-minute conversation with a stranger can already make prejudices disappear. But how do you conduct a connecting conversation, even when worldviews clash? You will learn this during their daily training sessions. Because we only truly come closer to each other when we are Wide Open.
