Decius (Live)

Electronic body music from the London sewer – afterwards especially have a shower

Lias Saoudi likes to whip himself. Everything he creates, whether with Fat White Family or The Moonlandingz, is always a bit painful, dirty, breathless, indecent; soaked in sweat and other, unnamed bodily fluids. This also holds true for Decius – his project with Liam and Luke May (Trashmouth Records) and Quinn Whalley (Warmduscher). But Decius is also exhilarating because it is simply horribly danceable. Detroit, Berghain, and the Balearics resound in a hint of acid house and sadomasochistic disco sleaze. Sometimes Saoudi disappears for a moment – we dare not ask why and where – but the tempo does not decrease for a second.
