Ticket sales
Into The Great Wide Open 2026 is sold out, but children's tickets are still available here.
When purchasing your festival ticket, there was also the option to buy a camping voucher for Stortemelk or a campsite spot at De Lange Paal. These options were limited and are also sold out.
Ticket prices

Child tickets 4 to 11 years: €45,
Child tickets 12 to 17 years: €65,-

This year, each regular ticket again includes the Good Journey supplement of €15,-. Those who travel sustainably can request a refund of this amount.
The Good Travel
A large part of the climate footprint of Into The Great Wide Open – and most other festivals – is not at the festival itself, but in the journey to get there. Almost half of the emissions come from visitor transport, mainly from fossil-fueled cars. It’s going in the right direction, because for the first time in 2025, more than half of the visitors (51%) traveled sustainably to the festival. However, the other 49% still drove about 1.2 million fossil kilometers in total. That’s a pity, because the alternatives are available, and they are more enjoyable.
With each ticket this year, the Good Journey surcharge of €15 is again included. If you travel sustainably, you can refund this amount. If you, as a visitor, decide to leave the surcharge? Then it will automatically go to the Transition Fund.
Personalize
After purchasing tickets, we ask you to personalize the festival tickets. This can be done immediately, but can also be done at a later time, until the start of the festival. You can do this via the confirmation email from Paylogic. Did you buy tickets for your friends? Then we also ask you to personalize your friends' tickets. They will receive a confirmation by email. It is possible to change the name on your personalized ticket. Go to 'Order status' via your confirmation email from Paylogic, at the bottom of the email. You can change the name on the ticket via the 'Name change' button. If it doesn’t work, you can also take a look at the explanation from Paylogic. Stortemelk camping vouchers, vouchers for De Lange Paal, and children's tickets (ages 4 to 17) do not need to be personalized.
Lost your ticket?
Through this link you can easily view your order and have access to your tickets.
Sell ticket(s)?
From February 2, 12:00 until June 30, 12:00 it is possible to offer festival tickets and vouchers for De Lange Paal on the Waiting List. In the confirmation email from Paylogic, there is a button 'MyOrder'. There you indicate which tickets you want to offer.
Do you still have a ticket left that you want to sell after June 30? Then you can offer your ticket starting July 1 at 16:00 on the Resale Platform.
The original purchaser – also known as the main buyer – is the only one who can offer tickets and receive money back. This applies even if tickets have already been personalized or transferred to another name through a name change.
We do not take tickets back.
Tickets via third parties
Into The Great Wide Open does not sell tickets through third parties. To minimize the risk of ticket resale at inflated prices, tickets are only sold through our own website. If you cannot secure tickets during the pre-sale for Into The Great Wide Open, never purchase your ticket(s) through channels that do not belong to intothegreatwideopen.nl. Check Know Where You Buy for an almost complete overview of black market sellers.
Do you see an external party selling tickets? Don't be tempted. Such websites typically operate as follows: they often offer tickets for sale before the official sale has started. They assume they can obtain tickets, only to sell them at higher prices later. However, those channels have just as much chance of securing tickets as any other potential buyer; we will never collaborate with them. It’s good to know that we only send the e-tickets to ticket buyers just before the festival. By delaying the ticket delivery, we hope to prevent the circulation of invalid tickets.
Mobile Tickets Only
To combat black market activities, we work at Into The Great Wide Open with Mobile Ticket Only. You can view and manage your order via the button in your confirmation email. No later than 48 hours before the event, your QR code(s) will be made available here. These QR code(s) are your access ticket to the festival.
You can also add the tickets to your Apple or Google Wallet on your mobile phone. This way, the QR codes are always available offline. Very handy when the network in Vlieland is not working well.

Sign up for the Waiting List. From February 2nd at 12:00 until June 30th at 12:00, festival tickets and vouchers for De Lange Paal will be offered via the Waiting List.
From July 1st at 16:00, tickets can be offered on the Resale Platform.
Sustainable travel options

Festival bus: Arriva Touring
From Amsterdam and Utrecht, you can travel most comfortably to the ferry terminal with the Fossil-free festival buses from Arriva Touring. For almost every boat there is a bus that connects to the departure times of the ferry service. Book your tickets here.
Book your place on the Arriva bus now with the code ITGWO2026 and receive a 50% discount on your bus ticket. Be quick, as supplies are limited!
Children up to and including 11 years can travel for free.
Public transport
Harlingen Haven is well accessible by train and bus during the festival weekend. There are various ways to book your tickets there:
If you travel with NS, it is advantageous to book a group ticket and/or travel with group discount.
Coming from Friesland or Groningen? For only €12.50 per person, you can travel unlimited all day with all trains and buses from Arriva in those provinces.
Traveling with NS is completely fossil-free because it operates on 100% wind turbine energy. Unfortunately, the section between Leeuwarden and Harlingen Haven with the Arriva train is not fossil-free, but we do include it in our CO2 cleanup program.
Sailing
The most beautiful way to get to Vlieland is by sailboat. Every year, quite a number of ships from the Bruine Vloot cross the Wadden Sea and there is always room for passengers. More info will follow here soon.
Fossil-free car
Do you have an electric car? Then it's easy: there are charging points in Harlingen-Haven at Lang Parkeren (P1/P2/P3) and plenty of fast chargers along the route.
Do you have a diesel car? Then refuel with renewable diesel at one of these 120+ gas stations along the route. This can be done in any diesel vehicle and results in an 85% reduction in fossil CO2 emissions.
Fossil-free shared cars
Take an electric car-sharing vehicle with, for example, MyWheels, SIXT share, SnappCar, Greenwheels, Free2move, or Check. There are charging points in Harlingen-Haven at Lang Parkeren (P1/P2/P3) and plenty of fast chargers along the route.
Car on fossil fuel = not a good journey
Are you still coming by car on fossil fuels? Consider one last time if you can really use a fossil-free travel option this year. There are plenty of affordable fossil-free options available nowadays. Make sure your car is as full as possible and use Slinger to fill the empty seats. Together on our way to a climate-positive festival.
There are various parking options near Harlingen Haven. Here you can find the different options in Harlingen and on the route there. You can also reserve your parking space in advance. The location Long Parking (a fifteen-minute walk from the terminal) also has a shuttle service to the terminal of Rederij Doeksen.
Due to the expected crowds, make sure to arrive at the parking lot in Harlingen well in advance. If you want to catch the ferry without stress, make sure to be there one and a half to two hours before departure. A cup of coffee or ice cream from Min12 will easily pass the time.
Bicycles
Biking is the most sustainable way to get to Into The Great Wide Open. Take your time and enjoy a nice ride. Plan the most beautiful bike routes from home to the ferry terminal in Harlingen Haven via Komoot or the route planner of the Cyclists' Union. And don't forget to pump up your tires.

Ferry and other transport
Boat to Vlieland
To travel to Vlieland, you take the ferry from Harlingen Haven. Tickets for the boat from Harlingen to Vlieland can be purchased via Rederij Doeksen. On their website, you can find everything about the rates and schedule for the ferry service or the fast service. You will also find information about luggage transport, taking bicycles on the ferry, and the facilities in the terminal.
This year as well, all ferry crossings made by visitors for the festival will be made climate-neutral, with the help of the Good Travel surcharge included in festival tickets.
Transport on Vlieland
Upon arrival in Vlieland, it is possible to have your luggage delivered to the accommodation for a small fee by Bagagevervoer Vlieland. If desired, the same carrier will bring the bags and suitcases back to the ferry terminal in the harbor. Don't forget to label your luggage with your name.
The festival location is easily walkable, but Vlieland is also great by bike. Bicycle rental shops are located near the ferry terminal.
For all horse lovers, there are also horses and ponies available for rent at one of the two stables on the island.
Buses run from Camping De Lange Paal to the Sports Field (Stop Stortemelk). Check here for the current schedule.
Change boat ticket?
Then you can change this free of charge with Doeksen itself. Ticketswap does not work for ferry tickets (nor for festival tickets)
Rent a bike
Once on Vlieland, it is easy and practical to get around by bicycle. To start looking for your ideal two-wheeler, pedal over to the websites of Jan van Vlieland, Frisia, or Zeelen.
Park your bike at the various festival locations in the designated areas, and not in the first edge of the forest you come across.
The campsite Lange Paal is located a bit further from the festival locations, and therefore we advise festival visitors who have set up their camp there to rent a bicycle. There are also buses running between Lange Paal and the festival grounds according to the regular schedule.
Extra rules for the express service
The fast service to Vlieland is faster, but therefore has less space for luggage. You are allowed to bring a maximum of 2 suitcases. Trolleys are also not permitted. On the normal ferry service, this is allowed.
Overnight stay
Camping: Stortemelk, De Lange Paal or BlueCamp
When buying your festival ticket on January 31, there was also the option to purchase a camping Stortemelk camping voucher, a camping spot at De Lange Paal, or BlueCamp. These options were limited and are now sold out. Vouchers for De Lange Paal can still be offered via The Waiting List.
Camping voucher Stortemelk: voucher for 1 tent spot, max. 4 people | €11,- | max. 2 per order
With this voucher, you can make a reservation for one tent at Campsite Stortemelk for up to four people. The rates for the camping spot itself can be found on the Stortemelk website. The booking link for Stortemelk will be emailed directly to the ticket buyers of Stortemelk Vouchers. This voucher can be redeemed until February 27 at 16:00 hours. Afterwards, it will expire.
Camping spot De Lange Paal: 1 person, 4 nights | €85,- | max. 6 per order
A camping spot at De Lange Paal includes a reservation for one person for four nights (arrival on Wednesday, August 26, or Thursday, August 27). If you wish to stay longer, you can arrange this on-site with the ranger. Regardless of the number of tents you bring, you need a voucher for everyone aged 5 and older.
BlueCAMP arrangement: 2 people, 4 nights | €525,- | max. 2 per order
This arrangement includes a stay for two people for four nights, with a choice of staying from Wednesday to Sunday or from Thursday to Monday, in one of the double BlueCAMP tents at De Lange Paal. Every morning a fresh breakfast is included. If you wish to stay longer, this can be arranged via info@bluecamp.nl.
In the tent:
- 2x air mattress covered with sheets and pillows in cases. Note: bring your own warm sleeping bag!
- 1x reading lamp
- 1x organizer to store your personal belongings
Sleeping boat of Shipping Company Voruit
It is also possible to spend the night on one of the ships of Rederij Vooruit and wake up on the water. You sleep on a boat in the marina of Vlieland, within walking distance of the festival grounds. You can stay in a cabin for 2 people or 4 people. Every morning, the crew of the ship prepares a skipper's breakfast for you. The ships are not only for overnight stays but also for relaxing on deck, playing games in the cozy day room, or enjoying a nice shower. Booking can be done via this link.
Other accommodations
You can also stay in one of the many other accommodations on Vlieland, such as hotels and holiday homes. You can book these, among others, through the site of VVV Vlieland or Op-Vlieland.
Even more Vlieland
Vlieland has more to offer than just Into The Great Wide Open. So definitely come a few days earlier or extend your stay after the festival. Year-round, local entrepreneurs cultivate, grow, create, and produce regional products. Visit Wadden has mapped these entrepreneurs. Literally. Discover them and the island through the inspiration map and experience the richness of the island.

Extra accessible facilities
Into The Great Wide Open takes place in nature, where the ground can be soft and bumpy. Unfortunately, this makes it not the most wheelchair-friendly festival in the Netherlands. But: where there’s a will…
At the festival, there is an extra accessible toilet available at the Sports Field. Need help? Talk to one of our staff members. They will assist you with all their love.
