Sunday program: Construction site of the Future

Festivals as a testing ground and stage for the transition to a zero-emission, biobased, and regenerative world

AUG 27-31

During Into The Great Wide Open 2025, we are organizing the Construction Site of the Future: a temporary workspace on the festival grounds where sustainable construction and festival innovations are central. In collaboration with partners such as BAM Infra Nederland, TBI, Topsector Logistiek, Team Infra, Triomf, Watermeln, Greener Power Solutions, Voskamp Groep, Stichting DOEN, and Lab Vlieland, we are exploring how construction can be circular, biobased, and emission-free. This way, we demonstrate how we are working towards a circular and climate-positive future.

The knowledge and experience we gain we are happy to share with everyone involved in this major transition, both in the festival and construction sectors, or in other ways.

On Sunday, August 31, the Construction Site of the Future offers a unique look behind and in front of the scenes. It will be a day full of practical solutions, knowledge sharing, inspiration, and encounters, with the UNESCO World Heritage of the Wadden as an inspiring backdrop.
