It is crucial for Into The Great Wide Open that what is eaten and drunk contributes to a carefree and stimulating festival. Food is the key to a better world – in ecological, economic, and social terms. With what you eat, you shape the landscape around you. Therefore, we carefully assemble our food program.
With caterers, we coordinate on the origin and food miles of ingredients, as well as the identity of our menu. This challenges us to seek answers to well-known food questions. We see that culinary enjoyment and a more sustainable food system go hand in hand, even at a festival. The mission to connect caterers to the local food chain is good for Vlieland, better for the Wadden Sea area, and best for you.
Offer & Specials
Throughout the year, you will read more on this page about what food and drink you can enjoy during Into The Great Wide Open 2026. As usual, we provide a food program at our festival sites Sportveld, Open Plek, and IJsbaan with something for everyone. Also, the opportunity to reserve tickets for specials will appear here in due course, so you can safely secure your table in time at places like the Keukenkaravaan or Vuurplaats.
